THE ONLINE CONFLICT RESOLUTION & PEACE-BUILDING LIBRARY PROJECT
- Have you ever tried to find a book or article about conflict resolution or peace-building when you are not in touch with your regular professional resources?
- Have you ever wondered what kind of curricula have been developed for school students in managing conflict at various maturity levels, and ended up writing your own?
- Have you ever written a book or article on conflict resolution or peace-building, knowing its value yet realizing how few of those who could use it would ever have access to it?
Our own answers to these questions have led us to undertake the creation of this project. Today, there are unparalleled opportunities to manage complexity. Connectivity is key to this. And electronic resources are the engine for connectivity. What better application than conflict resolution and peace-building?
And so the vision was created and has grown: to assemble and make available to libraries, schools, organizations and individuals at reasonable cost a comprehensive digital conflict resolution and peace-building library of
Books
Articles
Curricula
Training Manuals
Training Resource Materials
Self-help Articles and Materials For All Ages and Stages
Community Conflict Management Materials and Resources
Tapes and
Videos
In addition to being viewable, in whole or in part, on the web, these materials will be downloadable, in whole or in part, in one copy or multiple copies. Authors and publishers will be protected and compensated, while users will have reasonably-priced access.
As conflict resolution professionals reach into every corner of the world, these materials can go with them - with no difficulties at the border. Peace-building's focus on developing conflict management leadership at the grass roots level is an essential balance to the more business- and professionally-oriented conflict resolution work.
