About Us

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incident’s and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it.

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.  Begin it now.

Johan Wolfgang von Goethe 1749-1832

About Us

North American Institute for Conflict Resolution

was founded as an Oregon non-profit in 2000 by Canadian and American co-founders.

Our training work differs from much that is available elsewhere in that it builds skill in accessing higher performance mental states easily and transparently. It also enlarges the capacity for engagement of the heart in everyday situations. Programs are offered with a variety of different frames of reference, the primary one being conflict resolution.

As those engaged in high conflict work learn to function day to day from a deeper and more real level – the level of heart, something shifts. People automatically come from a higher and wider context than is customary and this opens the doors to opportunities and shifts for everyone that would otherwise be foreclosed by narrow thinking and self-interest.
